How to use
Soak Crystal soil pack in a container in 1 litre of water
When all water is absorbed, add another l litre
Drain out excess water using a strainer or colander and then rinse off Crystal soil with clean water
Crystal soil once hydrated is transparent & colourful
Place Crystal Soil in a vase or bowl and arrange flowers and candles accordingly
No additional water is necessary for cut flowers as they will absorb moisture from the Crystal Soil
Crystal soil if left in the sun will return to its original size, can be soaked in water and reused
To dispose mix crystal soil with soil in your plant pots to reduce watering
Tips on using Crystal Soil
- Ensure Crystal Soil is completely immersed throughout hydrating process.
- If you wish to feed plants, dissolve feed in water prior to soaking Crystal Soil. Plants will benefit from the gradual release of water and feed. However you may add feed directly to Crystal Soil.
- Layer or mix colours for stunning effects. When layering hydrate colours separately.
- Before planting, trim the decayed roots and leafage of plant to encourage vigorous growth, pay attention not to damage the taproot.
- No additional water is necessary for cut flowers as they will absorb moisture from the Crystal Soil. However roses can be very thirsty, just add back enough water to cover the base of the cutting.
- Direct sunlight will dehydrate the crystals and return them to their original state.
- If Crystal Soil begin to shrink. After a couple of months whilst in the vase or pot of a plant just rinse and resoak to reuse.
